State of Black Health

The audience loved attending the conference through this platform! Attendees entered the event through a virtual exterior lobby that was animated with diverse avatars. From here they went on to an interior event lobby that could be used to navigate to the rest of the event. The conference had an impressive line-up of speakers and tackled COVID-19, gun violence, mental health and a myriad of other critical public health issues. The Center for Black Health & Equity incorporated videos and sponsor recognition throughout the event, and even included musical performances and wellness sessions. Event gamification through a virtual leaderboard instilled some friendly competition. Two exhibition halls provided easy access to exhibitor booths. There were plenty of opportunities for participants to interact with each other, the speakers and exhibitors via a networking lounge and chat features. The event was crucial for bringing together public health officials to discuss and create solutions for health disparities in African American communities.
