NewSTEPs CQI National Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to convene participants of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) Quality Improvement Projects collaborative to collaborate on ways to improve and transform newborn screening systems. The APHL event provided wonderful engagement through gamifications with a virtual scavenger hunt. Attendees were to search throughout the platform to locate the different quality improvement tools. Whether in the auditorium, lobby or exhibition hall. Points for each player were tracked on the leaderboard and top winners received conference prizes. Additionally they added a “Winding Down” session in its auditorium. The event was further gamified with a virtual photo booth.
