UMGC Spring Fair

UMGC has set an example of how to create job opportunities for their students and alumni with this virtual career fair. They welcomed attendees to a replica of their own campus building, creating a lifelike experience. The exhibit hall featured links to career sites and linked in pages in addition to chat timings. They enhanced experience by adding in names of booth reps, their available time and the job vacancies they had. Moreover, they also compiled job vacancies from all the employers in a separate tab which showed exactly how many applications were submitted for each vacancy. The resume tab offered all the resumes available, complete with education details and linkedin profile links. Employers simply had to send a 1:1 chat request to their ideal candidate. A section on career prep offered insights to students on what to do before and after interviews. This created additional value for incoming applicants. The entire platform was simple and user friendly, helping job seekers and employers achieve their objectives.
