Quantity Surveying Research Conference

Nelson Mandela University held its first virtual academic conference that was extremely well received. The keynote presenters were excellent, and the general feedback surrounding the event was very positive. The event was user friendly as visitors could navigate to virtual booths and the auditorium from the lobby. Two session streams were created for the many research paper presentations, from which attendees could pick and choose to create their own schedules. A video vault provided a collection of choir songs and more. Attendees could also add videos and resources to a digital swag bag. The lobby had avatars that were dressed in casual attire as students and professors would have at a physical venue.
